I’m not totally familiar with all the ins and outs of this NCAA/ Conference settlement thing goin’ on.

But . . .

. . . it appears that student athletes will now benefit from the largesse of TV moolah, get paid methinks directly from the schools. And, limits on schollys, kaput.

Don’t hold me to it, but there’s significant shifts on the horizon.

U of L’s seriously caffeinated new hoops mentor Pat Kelsey has filled out the roster.

My pal Doc always advises the importance of having more than competent backups for practice. The stars need to have competition in daily workouts.

Which I though of with PK’s last roster choice.

Frank Anselem-Ibe is a journeyman big with a year of eligibility left. He may contribute now and again during competition. But he appears a perfect piece in the whole scheme of things.

It’s not breaking news that the Cardinals will be ballin’ four out at least next campaign. Five on the perimeter at times.

There are sites which track such matters, ranking U of L’s as the best roster rebuild in the land. Not sure about that. Top 5, 10 at least. But I for one can find little if any fault in the incredible assemblage he’s gathered.

The detritus has been swept away.
